Well I have had my Cricut Explore Air 2 now for about a week. Of course 99% of the things I have made so far have been Disney related. Would you expect anything else lol? I have mainly just tried cutting outdoor vinyl and working with HTV (heat transfer vinyl). Htv I found to be a tad tricky especially if you don’t get the heat warm enough to adhere to the fabric and to make sure you get all the edges sealed.
It has sure been fun so far and the possibilities are endless of the things you can create. I have added a couple pictures of some of my Disney themed projects thus far. I think my favorite has been the Gus and Jaq with the mouse hole decal that I put along the baseboard in my home.
Our Disney cruise this year aboard the Fantasy was as magical as ever. I decided to run the Castway 5k again this trip since I skipped the last one due to the bad weather. Luckily this year there was a slight breeze to make the humidity more tolerable then the races on the island in the past. Races in the Bahamas are still wayyyyy harder then in Florida because of the scorching heat that’s for sure. Disney makes sure to provide plenty of water stops for runners throughout the course as usual and then the ocean is just a few steps away to take a dip in the refreshing water once the race is over. The finisher medals were upgraded since the last race I did on the cruise in 2014. Two thumbs up for the upgrade 👍👍.
Getting pumped up before the race
Welcome home
Castaway Cay 5k route on the island
The route is still the same as it was in 2014 when I last ran this race. Great course until the people who rent the bicycles start coming out to ride the trails and run you off the course lol 🚲🚲🚲🚲. All in all it was a lot of fun as usual and nothing beats a runDisney event, especially when you don’t have to pay extra for it 💵. Stay Disney my friends and have a magical day ✨.
With the annual D23 (Disney’s official fan club) expo 2017 underway this weekend in Anaheim, CA. it is that time of year that Disney usually has some big projects to announce to the public. Today was defiantly that day! The Walt Disney Resorts and Parks panel presentation was this afternoon from 3:00-4:30 pm. Here is a compilation of the Disney confirmed announcements from today’s events categorized by park. Magic kingdom:
TRON Lightcycle Power Run will be coming to a “new” space and not replacing the Tomorrowland Speedway as originally speculated. It will occupy an area near SpaceMountain which had originally been reserved for backstage purposes.TRON is coaster-style attraction where the rider boards a two-wheeled Lightcycle and speeds reach an upwards of 60 miles per hour.
A theater is being added to Main Street for live entertainment. The buildings appearance will be built to resemble the Iconic Willis Theater from the 1920’s in Kansas City.
Walt Disney World Resort Property:
An “Uber like” transportation will now be offered to transport guests around the Walt Disney Resort Property. The vehicles will be themed to Minnie Mouse.
Disney Skyliner will utilize gondolas that are themed after our beloved Disney characters. The Disney Skyliner will transport guests from AOA (Art of Animation), Pop Century, and Caribbean Beach resorts and other locations to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the International Gateway entrance at Epcot.
Star Wars-themed resort announced to be coming to the Walt Disney Resort. From the second you arrive, you will be totally immersed into a Star Wars story.
Disney Riviera Resort will be the 15th Disney Vacation Club Property and is being built near EPCOT.
EPCOT:
A Ratatouille– inspired attraction will be coming to France Pavillon in the World Showcase. This attraction is going to be similar to the one that opened in 2014 at Disneyland Paris.
Guardian’s of the Galaxy themed attraction will be replacing the current Universe of Energy attraction, which will close August 13th, 2017.
A new Green Mission at Mission: SPACE will allow riders to soar over Earth.
A brand new Space themed restaurant being added adjacent to the Mission: SPACE ride that will allow you to dine high above the Earth with some amazing views.
Hollywood Studios:
Toy Story land is set to open in Summer of 2018.
The official name that has been given to the originally know “Star Wars Land” is Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. This land will open in 2019.
The Great Movie Ride will be replaced with the first Mickey themed ride in history. Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway will allow guests to allow guest to step into a Mickey Mouse cartoon in this exciting new attraction. This new ride is said to have more hidden Mickey’s than any attraction anywhere.
Disney Cruise Line:
Two new ships are currently under construction for the Disney Cruise Line and it has just been announced that there is now a third planned as well. This will bring the Disney Cruise Line fleet to a total of seven ships.
It is going to be an exciting next couple of years here at the Walt Disney Resort. Change is unfortunately inevitable and we must accept it. It will be sad to see some of these attractions leaving to make room for the new ones but you have to give a little to get a little as I say lol. Well my friends, that about wraps up the D23 expo announcements for this year so until next time, have a magical day. ✨

I found out about this Charleston, South Carolina company through the Disney fan community. Their name is Spireside Candles and they make hand made natural soy wax candles and wax tarts. Now here is the exciting part 🤗 their candles scents are inspired by Disney food, attractions and resorts!!!! Say whattttttt?!???!
You can purchase a candle that smells like you just walked into the lobby of the Polynesian, your waiting in line at Main Street Bakery, or even riding through a haunted manor in your doom buggy. I have to say a lot of their scents are spot on 👍. My personal favorite so far that I have burning is Polynesian 🌴🌺🍹. Their website is very descriptive about what the scent will smell like which helps a lot especially when buying something online you do not actually have the luxury of experiencing the smell first hand before purchasing.
The prices are very reasonable for the quality. The only recommendation I would have is I wish the jars that the candles came in were a little more elaborate. I know this would increase the price obviously and then the reasonable priced candle would not be so reasonable anymore. That is why I only said “recommendation”.
Not only does my house look like Disney inside, it now smells like it too. Check out their online shop and see the vast array of choices they have to choose from. I can’t wait to try them all! You can visit them at Spireside
*I am not in any way being compensated by the company for this blog post. I am doing this solely off my personal opinion of this product*
Let me start out with saying Disney has gone above and beyond my expectations with the live- action making of this movie. I have been very skeptical watching the trailers for the last several months about how it was going to end up being depicted and if it was going to be true to the original like Cinderella was.
This blog post is not going to reveal any specifics because I know some of you addicts may have not been able to see it yet so I will keep it short and sweet. Ok here goes nothing…
I have loved Beauty and the Beast since it’s original release in 1991. I was so nervous about this live action version and was skeptical about some of the casting, but not Josh Gad, you can’t ever go wrong with Olaf lol. But I loved it 😍. I was in awe from start to finish. It was magical. The visuals, the costumes, the music, the singing, the acting, the new additional songs and enhancements to the characters..everything was amazing.
I can’t wait until it comes out on DVD so I can watch it over and over again 📀. I am glad I got to share this experience with my dad. He could not get over the extent of the graphics that Disney incorporated and visual effects. Yes there were a few tears shed 😭.
If you were at all skeptical about seeing this movie, do not walk, RUN, to your nearest theater and watch the all new live-action Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. You can thank me later 😜
Stay Disney my friends and until next time, thanks for being our guest 😋
Guess what this girl finally got her hands on?!?!?!? The social media famed Disney Spirit Jersey from the Walt Disney World Resort has finally been delivered with special thanks to the Shop Disney Parks App helping a sister out lol. I don’t know how long they will be in stock but probably not for long given the rate they sold out the first time they were released.
I happened to be checking the Shop Disney Parks App on Saturday evening, one of the things I usually do to get my daily Disney fix, when what did I happen to scroll past, but this little baby in all her glory. They come in 4 different colors currently ranging from black, navy blue, mint and orange ( looks more like a tangerine coral). I had to go with the ever trusty black. Good staple color to have and matches everything ⚫️⚪️
I don’t know if they are currently in stock at the any of the parks or even on the app so I wasn’t going to take my chances and wait until my next trip to purchase. Awesome thing with that app is your can still use your annual passholder discount 💲💲 Cha Ching!!!!
Well fellow Disney Addicts I’m going to sign off for the day and call it a night. Stay Disney my friends and always remember there’s a great big beautiful tomorrow shining at the end of every day ✨
**UPDATE 6/17/17: Epcot has them in stock at Mouse Gear**
We had a blast as usual last weekend at the Atlanta Braves spring training held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports against the Florida Marlins. We may have not won, we didn’t last year either lol, but its not all about winning or losing, it is about the memories that are made along the way.
The weather was amazing on Saturday. I should have brought some sunblock because I did get a little red sitting out in the stands for several hours. Sunny skies and a nice breeze made for a perfect day at the ball field.
The Braves spring training schedule goes until the end of March. Here is a link to their remaining games that will be played out at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Atlanta Braves spring training schedule 2017
Have a magical day everyone and don’t forget to stay Disney my friends 🙂
It’s that time of year again folks…Baseball season. The Atlanta Braves will be starting their spring training in just a few short days. Atlanta Braves Spring Training Schedule
The Atlanta Braves have called the ESPN Wide World of Sports their home for spring training since 1998. With a new stadium opening this year in Atlanta for their regular season, there is speculation that the Braves will be calling an end to their 19 year stay at their Disney home for their spring training schedule. The Braves contract with the complex ends this year 2017. No definite decisions have been made by the Braves yet at this time but they are keeping their options open for what is best for their organization.
Whatever they end up deciding, we will always have the memories to look back on and rooting for the home team. Go Braves! ⚾️
