🚢 Cruising With Disney…The Only Way To Go! 🚢

IMG_0109

It has been entirely too long since my last blog post.  Sorry guys, hectic life 😬.  We just got back 2 weeks ago from our latest Disney cruise aboard the Dream.  Love this ship ❤️. It was our second time on this specific ship and the same itinerary as last year…minus the stop in Nassau because there was this little thing out there called Hurricane Joaquin 💨. We still had a blast and honestly I don’t think anyone really even paid much attention to the fact that we were cruising to no where lol.

Luckily the weather took a turn in our favor and we were cleared to port in Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island.  Thank goodness because everyone was starting to get a little cabin fever at that point if your know what I mean.  It was rather windy and very cloudy at first but eventually it cleared to be a beautiful day ☀️🌴.  Sad to have to say goodbye to that place, that’s for sure.

Hopefully we will be planning our next Disney cruise in the near future and maybe we will try out one of the other ships this time and for longer than 4 days…one can only dream right?? Until then my friends…Stay Disney!!!!

Pirate Night Style

Delaney’s outfit for Pirate Night 2015

One of my favorite things to do on a Disney cruise is pirate night. It’s so fun to put together a pirate costume and wear it up on deck for a big party which ends with  fireworks out over the ocean. There are a lot of good tutorials online for easy and cheap DIY pirate costumes.  Ours is basically just a plain white T-shirt that we have cut jagged edges along the bottom, red solid material cut into strips for our belt/sach, eye patches from the dollar store and whatever type of shoes and pants you might already have around the house that would finish off the look.

🐻 No More Duffy?!?!?!

So word has been let out from a reliable source that as of the beginning of October, Duffy the Disney Bear, will be leaving Epcot for good. Apparently the meet and greet which has had its place at Epcot since around 2010, was never really a success despite the mass following of Duffy fans out there.

This was one of the nicer character meet and greets because you could always count on a low wait time…which probably goes hand in hand of why Disney has opted to retire him from this location. One can only hope that they decide to relocate him to another site at the Walt Disney World resort so that we can still enjoy the super cuddly hugs he is so well known for. We will miss you Duffy ❤️

🎥 American Experience: Walt Disney 🎥

A look into the life of one of America’s most beloved and influential storytellers of all time. Originally aired on PBS on September 14th and 15th, this 2 part special focuses on the legacy that this amazing man left behind and reflects where he started it all.

⭐️How to: Make a Disney Living Locket for Super Cheap ⭐️

Supplies you will need for this project:

Locket with magnetic closure

* I found mine at Michaels for around 4.00 after my 40% off coupon*

Chain any length (mine is a rolo style 30″ in length)

*These happened to be only 3.99 regular price and that day they were also 40% off…super cheap. Might as well get a couple at that price so when they tarnish and get dirty looking just switch it out with a new one*

Charms of your desire

*This is where your imagination can run wild. They sell living locket charms at most craft stores, etsy.com and other sites but I ordered these shown off eBay. They sell charms for any theme you can think of. Oh the possibilities. Just load your locket with the charms of your choice, latch closed and attach to your chain. That’s about it my friends, super easy and all together mine cost under 8.00 to make ✅.

Until next time my friends, have a magical ✨ day!

Missing the Magic 😢

I find myself lately being so caught up in the busyness of life that I have neglected myself and the things that I truly love. Rushing from place to place, here to there, and at the end of the day it’s all just a blur. Life is short and a lot of us don’t step back and appreciate all that is out there and enjoy it while we can.
It’s hard for people to understand when you have such a strong passion for something and they just don’t see it the way you do. It’s actually upsetting at times because it makes you think people just dont understand you. I’ve learned by now that very few people get me. I’m sorry if my “addiction” annoys you, but even if there was a cure I wouldn’t be interested. I find my peace and solitude in all things Disney and in the words of the great Mr. Walt Disney, “That’s the real trouble with the world, too many people grow up.”

🚢 Disney Cruisen 🚢

The bag I hand painted for our upcoming Disney cruise next month. Love it??? 😍 I bought the iron on patch from a shop on Etsy and the rest I painted with acrylic paints I had on hand at home. Can’t wait to show it off.
